I am a scientist, author, and all-around creative with many passions. My work in the arts and sciences intersect at themes of scientific discovery, female empowerment, and my Nicaragüense heritage. I am currently an infectious disease researcher at the University of Pittsburgh where I specialize in influenza virus evolution. My debut Zomenos series is a science fiction & fantasy epic. My artwork has been featured and sold at the Art All Night exhibition. I reside in Pennsylvania with my partner and our mischievous calico, Mina.
